GLAF will host a performance by the West Virginians

The Garrett Lakes Arts Festival (GLAF) will host a performance by the West Virginians, a nationally recognized choral ensemble from Alderson-Broaddus College, pictured. The Friday, May 21, performance will be presented at the Garrett College auditorium at 7:30 p.m. The West Virginians is a 12-member collegiate vocal ensemble known for a wide variety of popular music, from Broadway musicals, jazz, and country to Christian contemporary and rock. "This talented and energetic group of singers, dancers, and instrumentalists serves as ambassadors for Alderson-Broaddus College and for the state of West Virginia, bringing high quality musical presentations to many churches, schools, and theaters," a spokesperson said.

In keeping with GLAF's education efforts, the group will also conduct a master class for Northern and Southern High School choral students on Thursday, May 20, and will present two school performances on May 21 for the 5th grade students of Garrett County. The educational portion of this event is made possible by a donation from the Howard and Audrey Naylor Family Trust. Tickets for the Friday evening concert are $15 for adults, $5 for students, and free for children 5 years and younger (tickets are required).
