The 13th Annual TriState Relief Sale set for July 15 and 16 at the Garrett County (Md.) Fairgrounds is not your typical auction.
Not only are there thousands of items for auction-goers to buy, there is also a pancake and sausage breakfast, a chicken barbecue lunch, a car cruise, entertainment, children’s activities and even surrey rides.
“We truly have something for everyone,” said Harriet Berg, longtime event coordinator. “If a family member doesn’t want to be at the auction, they can go for a surrey ride or see the car cruise.”
The sale benefits the Mennonite Central Committee. The event is sponsored by Mennonite churches in western Pennsylvania, western Maryland and West Virginia.
