Riding the wind in a Laser sailboat on Deep Creek Lake on a sunny day in mid-July is just about as good as it gets. The sailor in this photo is Carrie Dodd, and the shot was taken during the Deep Creek Yacht Club's Full-Rig Laser Regatta this past weekend, an event in which Carrie finished third. The photo was taken by Carrie's grandmother Barbara Meredith. The weather prognosticators are calling for the exceedingly warm, sunny conditions to continue on the Mountaintop for the next several days, affording opportunity for enjoyment of Garrett County's numerous outdoor recreational offerings.
